About the game

Glitch Runner drops you on a neon road behind a pixel runner. Each gate floats an equation and three answers in the left, center, and right lanes. Use the arrow keys or A and D to swap lanes so that, when the gate reaches your row, you are lined up with the correct sum. Right picks add points scaled by your current combo and push the combo higher; a wrong lane costs a heart and snaps combo back to the start. After every ten gates in a sector you get a short breather with score and accuracy, then Continue into the next district with tougher operands. The run ends in Game Over if you lose all hearts, or in Congratulations if you survive thirty resolved gates in one run. Everything you see — road, HUD, sparks, and sprite — is drawn on the canvas so the game stays sharp inside the page. Click the play area first if the keys feel unresponsive.

Examples

Why are there three numbers under each question?

Only one value is the true sum of the equation; the other two are decoys. Each number sits in its own lane, and the lane colors line up with the boxes — pink, green, and blue — so you can match by color as well as by value.

What is the difference between Game Over and Congratulations?

Game Over means you ran out of hearts from wrong lanes. Congratulations means you finished thirty gates in a single run — every gate that crosses your row counts once, whether you answered correctly or not. After that, the game stops and you can start a fresh run.

What happens every ten gates?

The sector pauses, clears the road, and shows a level-complete card with your score, combo, and accuracy for that stretch. Press Continue to enter the next themed district; the sums get a little meaner as you go.

Quick tip. Read the equation early while the gate is still small — reaction time matters more than raw calculation.
